Dr. Isabel María Andrés-Cuevas

has focused her research for the last few years on the short story in English by women writers. She is interested in Modernist fiction and, in particular, in the narrative of Virginia Woolf. She has co-authored a monograph on gender and the grotesque in the short fiction by Katherine Mansfield and the novels of Virginia Woolf. In Women’s Tales, her major focus is the short stories by Jeanette Winterson.
Research interests: the short story; gender studies; Modernism; women’s fiction; carnival theory.
